Teenage Wellbeing Support

DOOR 43

Door 43 is a Sheffield based service providing support to 13–25-year-olds on a range of emotional wellbeing issues. The service focuses on early intervention and low-level support.

Door 43 offers several services including: a drop in, one to one support, wellbeing cafes and social prescribing spaces and can support young people with lots of different things they may need advice on or are struggling with.

Drop in service

On Wednesdays, you can access one-to-one emotional support over the phone, text or video call. On a Wednesday morning, just call 0114 201 2800 or email them on door43@sheffieldfutures.org.uk  to book a slot. They will then call you back for a 20-minute chat between 11am–1pm or 2pm-4pm.

One-to-one support

If you are in need of talking regularly about something you’re experiencing, Door 43 offer up to eight one-to-one support sessions. These sessions can be over the phone, text or video call. Use the form on their website to self-refer.

KOOTH

Free, safe and anonymous online support for young people – Friendly counsellors available for you to talk to online until 10pm, also community support and self-help advice. To access this, you just need to sign up on their website Home – Kooth

MEETWO

MeeTwo is a free fully moderated app for young people, providing a neutral space which allows young people to experiment with what it feels like to open up about their difficulties without drawing attention to themselves while positive feedback and social support builds confidence, increases wellbeing and promotes emotional resili​ence.

SHOUT

Shout is the UK’s first 24/7 text service, free on all major mobile networks, for anyone in crisis anytime, anywhere. It’s a place to go if you’re struggling to cope and you need immediate help. Text Shout to 85258.
